Perfective Future — Present-Tense Forms with Future Meaning

When you conjugate a PERFECTIVE verb in 'present tense' forms, the meaning is FUTURE (because a perfective action cannot be in progress now — it must be completed, so it refers to a future completion).

Я напішу ліст заўтра. — I will write a letter tomorrow.

Ты прачытаеш гэтую кнігу. — You will read this book.

Мы зробім гэта. — We will do this.

• Imperfective future: буду пісаць (will be writing — process) • Perfective future: напішу (will write — completion) Use perfective when the action will be completed; imperfective for ongoing or repeated future actions.
