Belingo is a beta v0 release. Lessons, audio, and exercises are live and improving every week. You may spot typos, awkward wording, or missing audio — we are actively polishing the course and welcome your feedback.

Mission

Belingo is a free, open app for learning Belarusian. Our goal is to make Belarusian easy and joyful to learn.

Publisher

Belingo is created by Grunwald Publishing, a Canadian small press devoted to bringing Belarusian literature and language to English-speaking readers.

Source material

Our curriculum is adapted from Fundamental Belarusian, Volumes 1 and 2, by Valentyna Pashkievich and Anton Adamovich (Toronto, 1974). The book uses traditional Tarashkievica orthography.

Belarusian has continued to evolve since that textbook was published. Belingo keeps the classical foundation while we improve clarity, examples, and everyday usage with help from linguists in the community.
