'Апавядальнік' means narrator. 'Правадзёр' means guide. 'Здзіўляліся' (were amazed) is a reflexive verb in past plural.
Апавядальнік: Даўно французскія падарожнікі плылі па рацэ. — Long ago, French travelers were sailing along a river.
Апавядальнік: Яны ехалі на чаўнах і неслі прыпасы. — They traveled by canoe and carried supplies.
Падарожнік: Глядзіце! Вада! Вялікая вада! — Look! Water! A great water!
Правадзёр: Гэта 'Антарыо' — 'вялікае возера' на мове ірокезаў. — This is 'Ontario' — 'great lake' in the Iroquois language.
Апавядальнік: Падарожнікі ішлі берагам і здзіўляліся. — The travelers walked along the shore and were amazed.
Падарожнік: Яно такое вялікае, як мора! — It is as large as a sea!
