Possessive pronouns agree with the noun in gender, number, and case.
'Свой' is used when the possessor is the subject of the sentence: Ён чытае сваю кнігу (He reads his own book).
Мой брат вучыцца. — My brother studies.
Гэта твая кніга? — Is this your book?
Нашае места тут. — Our seat is here.
