Aspect Review: Perfective vs. Imperfective 📖
In Belarusian, every verb has an aspect: Imperfective (незакончанае) — ongoing, repeated, habitual: • чытаць (to read — repeatedly) • пісаць (to write — in general) • ашукваць (to trick — habitually) Perfective (закончанае) — completed, single action: • прачытаць (to read through — once) • напісаць (to write — and finish) • ашукаць (to trick — once, successfully) Common prefixes that create perfective verbs: • на-: пісаць → напісаць • пра-: чытаць → прачытаць • з-/с-: рабіць → зрабіць
